Ohio Marijuana Cannabis Legalization Update
Days after the Ohio Ballot Board gave their approval, “ResponsibleOhio” has started collecting signatures to get Marijuana Legalization on the ballot for the State of Ohio.

They and their supporters must collect 305,000 signatures by July for Ohio voters to decide on the cannabis legalization in November.

The proposed amendment would legalize the sale of marijuana for both medicinal and recreational use in the state of Ohio for adults over age 21 and create authorized growing sites across the state.

“We all understand that marijuana is in our communities now, but rather than being something that is safe and tightly regulated, it’s something that actually promotes crime in our communities,” Bolander said. “So, we need to tax it; we need to regulate it; we need to legalize it.”

If passed Ohio would be the fifth state in the nation to allow recreational use of marijuana.
